Christmas Day
Presidents Daylight, which falls on the third Monday in February, is considered to be a national holiday. It pays tribute the past American presidents. It has been a day to honour both Lincoln and Washington.
Although it’s a federal holiday , not every state observes this holiday. Some states celebrate the birthdays of both presidents on the same day, but some states only recognize only one president. The Presidents Day is now an occasion to celebrate the all U.S. presidents, including Lincoln.
The history of the Presidents’ Day holiday is complicated. Washington’s Birthday was the initial name of the celebration and is now known as Presidents’ Day.
A well-known unofficial holiday was the birthday of President Washington, also referred to as Washington’s Day. In the 1870s however it became a federally recognized holiday. Congress passed the Uniform Monday Day Holiday Act.
Meteor showers
