February 14th
Valentine’s Day (February 14th) is a day that celebrates love and passion. It is celebrated each year. The celebration’s origins can be traced to the Middle Ages, a time where courtly love and sacraments were widespread.
It was a celebration of love between romantic partners during the 14th century. It was commonplace to send Valentine’s Day flowers, cards and gifts to one another.
Commercial cards were introduced in the first quarter of the nineteenth century. The popularity of postcards that were printed in bulk was also growing. These cards were then displayed in shops as themed displays.
Valentine’s Day is traditionally marked by giving your loved one a gift of candy or chocolate, and a card or flower. It is possible to also give jewelry.

The tradition was conceived of as a superstition among Pennsylvanians Dutch immigrants. The American custom of making weather forecasts was brought to America with German immigration. PunxsutawneyPhil, a Pennsylvania groundhog, makes meteorological predictions throughout the winter.
The custom got its start when scientists discovered mice that hibernate during winter. The goal was to forecast the weather patterns for the six remaining weeks by observing how animals respond to it.
Groundhogs are part the Sciuridae Family of small, hairy mammals. In winter, their main purpose is to hibernate. The morning of Groundhog Day and evening, they’re often seen peeking out of the burrows.
Christmas Day
Presidents Daylight is observed on the third Monday in February, is considered to be to be a national holiday. It is a day to honor former American presidents. It was a time to pay tribute to both Lincoln and Washington.
Even though it is an annual holiday of the United States, many states don’t observe it. Certain states celebrate the birthdays of both presidents at the same time, whereas some states only recognize only one. But, Presidents’ Day is now widely accepted as a day to honor the achievements of all U.S. Presidents, especially Lincoln.
It has a long background. The Washington’s Birthday was the original title of the holiday. Today the Presidents’ Day holiday is the official title.
Washington’s birthday also called Washington’s Day is a well-known not-official holiday. It was recognized as a federal holiday by Congress in the 1870s. In the aftermath, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.
Meteors hurling storms

Roman holidays in antiquity
The Lupercalia was one of the most well-liked holidays in the past of Rome. In the middle of February there was a cleansing and fertility ceremony was held. Priests offered animal sacrifices at an altar close to the Lapis Niger in the ceremony. The hearth was filled up with blood of the animal. The belief was that it would be beneficial to the fertility of the grain fields.
