Valentine’s Day is an old tradition. You could buy your beloved chocolates or a candy gift and also a bouquet of flowers or an e-card. You might also decide to give them a gift of jewelry.

Groundhog Day occurs annually on February 2. However, it is also popular in Canada the Thanksgiving holiday is an American holiday in the United States.
Superstition among Pennsylvanians Dutch people led to the festival. The custom of forecasting the weather was brought in America through German immigrants. PunxsutawneyPhil, a Pennsylvania groundhog who makes forecasts for winter weather throughout the year.
The whole thing began when researchers discovered a mouse that hibernated throughout the winter. The plan was to forecast the following six weeks of the season by watching how animals responded to the weather.
Groundhogs belong to the Sciuridae group of hairy mammals. In winter, their primary job is to stay in hibernation. The morning of Groundhog Day is when they can be observed peeking out of burrows.

The third Monday in February is the Presidents’ Daylight. It is an official holiday for the United States of America. It’s a tribute to all past American presidents. It has been a day to honor both Lincoln and Washington.
While it is an official holiday, not all states observe this day. Although some states honor both presidents birthdays on the same day however, some states only recognize only one. But, Presidents’ Day is now widely recognized as a means of honoring all U.S. Presidents, especially Lincoln.
It has a long background. Washington’s Birthday was the first reason for the title of the celebration.
Washington’s birthday, also known by the title Washington’s Day was a well-known non-official holiday. It became an official holiday of the United States in the late 1870s. In response, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.
Storms of Meteors
Each year it is observed that the Earth revolves in the solar system. This triggers a rush of tiny meteors to be released into space. They are visible from anywhere in the sky. Some showers can be more impressive than others. It is generally the nighttime time to watch.
Perseids are one of the most stunning and impressive meteor showers of the entire year. This is because Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle was the cause. It will be visible from the Northern Hemisphere, but as the Southern Hemisphere has some of the most intense fireballs and astrophysical activity, it’s also worth to observe from there.
Each year , there are four meteor showers that are significant. The Quadrantid 1 is famous for its powerful but brief peak. Another notable for its unique surges is the Lyrid. Furthermore, the Geminid is famous for its approachable appearance.

The Lupercalia was one of the most popular holidays of the past of Rome. A cleansing and fertility ceremony took place in the middle of February. In this ceremony the priests offered sacrifices of animals on an altar beside the Lapis Naiger. The hearth was then emptied of the blood of the animal. It was believed that it would benefit grain crops by ensuring fertility and also protecting the plants from harm.
Ludi Ceriales is another celebration which was celebrated to honor Ceres the goddess of harvest. Since the year 202 BC, Ludi Ceriales celebrations are documented.
