Giving your loved one a chocolate or candy present together with an arrangement or card, is a traditional Valentine’s Day tradition. You might even choose to present them with jewelry.

This custom was born from a discovery by scientists that mice hibernate in winter. The idea was to forecast the weather patterns for the six remaining weeks by studying how animals react to it.
Groundhogs belong to the Sciuridae family of tiny hairy mammals. It hibernates in winter. Groundhog Day is the most regular day they can be in view from their burrows.
Christmas Day
Presidents Daylight, which falls on the third Monday of Februar, is considered an official holiday of the United States. It is a day to pay tribute to the past American presidents. It is a holiday that celebrates both Lincoln, Washington, and has been Presidents Since the day it was first introduced.
Although it is a federal holiday not all states observe it. Some states honor the birthdays of both presidents at the same time, whereas some states only recognize only one president. While Presidents’ Day is now a common thing however, it is a good opportunity to commemorate all U.S. presidents and especially Lincoln.
Presidents Day has a complicated past. Washington’s Birthday used to be the original name for the day of celebration. Now, it is known as Presidents Day.
Washington’s birthday, more commonly referred to as Washington’s Day, is an unofficial holiday that is well-known. It was recognized as a federal holiday by Congress in the late 1870s. The Uniform Monday Holiday Act was passed by Congress.
Meteors and storms
Each year, Earth moves around the sun. Every year, small meteors fall into space. They are visible from anywhere in the sky. Some showers can be more impressive than others. The best time to watch.
Perseids is one of most stunning and spectacular meteor showers of 2018. This is due to the fact that Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle was the cause of it. While it will be visible in the Northern Hemisphere because of its large number of fireworks however, the Southern Hemisphere also has the best visibility.
Four major meteor showers take place each year. The Quadrantid is number one because of its powerful but brief peak. The other is the Lyrid that is renowned for its unique surges. Furthermore, the Geminid is famous for its attractive appearance.
Roman holiday celebrations in antiquity
The Lupercalia was among the most popular holidays of the past of Rome. In February, in the middle the fertility and cleansing ceremony was conducted. During the ceremony, priests offered sacrifices of animals to an altar near the Lapis Niiger. The hearth was filled with the blood of the animal. Vestalia, Saturnalia, and Neptunalia were a few other popular Roman celebrations. They were celebrated originally in honor of Mars who was the god of war.
Roman working weeks lasted for eight days. There were two periods to every day: the morning and the afternoon. The nundin lasted eight days. The remainder of the year was constituted by the remaining days.
