After scientists found out that mice hibernate during winter, they laid the basis for this practice. The idea was to predict the following six weeks of season based on observations of how the animals responded.
Groundhogs are part of the Sciuridae group of small hairy mammals. They hibernate in winter. On the morning of Groundhog Day, they are frequently spotted peering out of their burrows.
Christmas Day
The third Monday of February, President’s Daylight is declared an American holiday. The holiday honors to the previous American presidents. It is a day to pay tribute to both Lincoln and Washington.
Although it is a federal holiday not every state observes this holiday. Certain states honor both presidents, while others are only allowed to recognize one president. The Presidents’ Day holiday is now widely accepted as a way to recognize the achievements of all U.S. Presidents, especially Lincoln.

The fields of grain were believed to be protected and fertility.
Ludi Ceriales was another celebration to honor Ceres (the goddess of harvest). Ludi Ceriales celebrations were first documented in the year 202 BC.
Neptunalia, Saturnalia, Vestalia were just a few examples of the well-known Roman celebrations. They were held originally in honor of Mars god of war.Vestalia According to some experts, was the most well-liked among the three.
