Valentine’s Day (February 14th) is a holiday to celebrate love and passion. It is observed every year. The holiday’s beginnings can be traced to the Middle Ages, a time where sacraments and courtly love were all the rage.
It was celebrated the love between romantic friends and lovers in the fourteenth century. Valentine’s Day is a time where you can send Valentine’s Day gifts and flowers.
In the first decade of the 19th century, commercial cards were accessible. The popularity of postcards that were printed in bulk was also growing. Themed displays of these postcards were put up in stores.
Valentine’s Day is a tradition which includes a chocolate or candy gift, as well a card and flowers. You could even decide to gift them jewelry.

The third Monday of February is the Presidents’ Daylight. It is considered a national holiday. It’s a tribute to all previous American presidents. Presidents’ Day has historically served as a day to celebrate both Washington and Lincoln.
Although it is an official holiday, not all states observe this day. Certain states honor both presidents simultaneously, whereas other states only honor one. Presidents Day is now commonly celebrated as a time to recognize all U.S. presidents, especially Lincoln.
The history of Presidents’ Day is complicated. The Washington’s Birthday was the first name of the holiday. Today, Presidents’ day is the official name.
Washington’s birthday, often referred to by the name Washington’s Day was a well-known nonofficial holiday. It was declared an official holiday of the United States Congress in the 1870s. Congress adopted the Uniform Monday holiday Act.
Meteor storms
Each year, the Earth’s orbit revolves around sun. Small, tiny meteors explodes into space. On the horizon, they are all over the sky. Some showers are more spectacular than others. It is at night that is the most ideal moment to see them.
One of the largest and most spectacular meteor showers of the year is the Perseids. This is due to the fact that the comet 109P/Swift Tuttle was the primary cause. Although it is visible in the Northern Hemisphere because of its large number of fireworks, the Southern Hemisphere also has the most visibility.
Every year there are four important meteor showers. The Quadrantid, number one, is known for its brief but powerful maximum. Another one is the Lyrid. It is famous for its irregular surges. The Geminid is also renowned for its approachable appearance.
Roman holidays dating to antiquity
The Lupercalia was among the most loved holidays in ancient Rome. In February, a fertility cleansing ceremony was performed. Priests offered animal sacrifices on the altar to the Lapis Nuiger during the ceremony. The blood of the animal was poured in the hearth. The grain fields were thought to benefit from its protection and fertility.
Ludi Ceriales is another celebration which was celebrated to honor Ceres the harvest goddess. Ludi Ceriales celebrations were first documented in 202 BC.
Neptunalia was one of the more popular Roman festivities. The celebrations were initially planned to pay tribute to Mars and the god of war.
Roman workweeks lasted eight days. There were two periods to each day: morning and afternoon. Nundin was an 8-day collection, with the remainder of the year being made up of 29 days.
