February 14th

Valentine’s Day is an annual holiday that celebrates love, affection and celebration on February 14th. The Middle Ages are the time when Valentine’s Day first observed. It was a time when courtly love as well as the sacraments still were commonplace.

Although it’s a federal holiday many states don’t observe it. Some states celebrate both the birthdays of the presidents on the same day . Other states may only recognize only one. The Presidents’ Day holiday is widely regarded as a day to honor all U.S. presidentials, particularly Lincoln.

The origins of the Presidents’ Day holiday is complex. Washington’s Birthday was the original name of the celebration that is now referred to as Presidents Day.

Washington’s birthday, more commonly called Washington’s Day is a well-known not-official holiday. However, in the 1870s it became an official holiday recognized by the federal government. In response, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.

Meteor showers

Each year, Earth rotates around its sun. Small meteors are released into the atmosphere. They can be observed all over the sky. Certain showers are more stunning than others. It is best to view the showers in the evening.

Perseids is among the most spectacular and stunning meteor showers of 2018. This is because Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle was the cause of it. Roman holidays from antiquity

The Lupercalia was a Roman festival, which was loved by many. A ritual of cleansing and fertility was held in mid February.
