February 14th
Valentine’s Day is a day that is devoted to love and romance that is observed every year on February 14. The holiday’s beginnings can be traced to the Middle Ages, a time when sacraments and courtly love were commonplace.
It was a celebration of romance between lovers during the 14th century. Valentine’s Day is a time where you can send Valentine’s Day gifts and flowers.
The first decade of the 19th century saw the introduction commercial cards. Postcards printed in bulk also received a lot of attention. These cards were a hit in stores as displays of themed designs.
Purchasing your special someone an item of chocolate or candy and a card or flower is a classic Valentine’s Day tradition. You could also choose to gift them with jewellery.

Groundhog Day, which is observed on February 2 every year, is an annual celebration. Groundhog Day is observed each year in Canada on February 2.
The tradition was born out of the belief in superstition of Pennsylvanians and Dutch people. But Americans inherited the tradition of predicting weather forecasts through German immigrants. Punxsutawney Phil is a Pennsylvania groundhog who gives forecasts for the remainder of winter.
Researchers discovered that mice hibernated during winter. The goal was to predict the coming six weeks of the season based on observations of how the animals responded.
The Sciuridae family of tiny hairy mammals also includes groundhogs. They hibernate during the winter. On the morning of Groundhog Day, they are often seen looking out of their burrows.
Christmas Day
Presidents Daylight that falls on the third Monday of February, is considered to be a national holiday. It is a day to pay tribute to the past American presidents. It is a day which is dedicated to both Lincoln, Washington, and is Presidents Day since the beginning of its existence.
Although it is a federal holiday , not all states observe this day. Although some states honor both the presidents birthdays on the exact same day, other states only recognize one. The Presidents Day is now a day to honor the all U.S. presidents, including Lincoln.
Presidents Day has a complicated history. The Washington’s Birthday was the initial name of the holiday. Today the Presidents’ Day holiday is the official name.
Washington’s birthday is an incredibly well-known and unofficial holidaythat is also known as Washington’s Day. However, it was recognized as a national holiday in the late 1870s. In the end, Congress passed the Uniform Monday Holiday Act.
Storms of Meteors
Every year each year, the Earth is in orbit around the sun, causing an explosion of tiny meteors to be released into space. They are visible in the sky and can appear everywhere. Some showers can be more impressive than others. The best time to view them is in the evening.
Perseids is among the most spectacular and stunning meteor showers of 2018. This is due to the fact that Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle is responsible for. Although it is visible in the Northern Hemisphere because of its high rate of fireballs however, the Southern Hemisphere also has the most visibility.
Each year there are four major meteor showers. One of the most well-known meteor showers is the Quadrantid. This shower is known for its brief but extremely strong peak. The Lyrid also is known for its distinctive surges. The Geminid is renowned for its sexy appearance.
Roman holidays in antiquity
The Lupercalia was a Roman festival that was adored by many. A cleansing and fertility ceremony were held in the middle February. Priests offered animal sacrifices on the altar to the Lapis Nuiger at the time of the ceremony. The hearth was filled up with blood of the animal. The fertility and protection of blood is believed to have been beneficial to the grain fields.
Ludi Ceriales is another celebration which was celebrated to honor Ceres the harvest goddess. Ludi Ceriales celebrations date back to 202 BC.
Vestalia, Saturnalia, and Neptunalia were among the well-known Roman celebrations. These celebrations were originally held to honor Mars, the godof war.
Roman working weeks had eight days. There were two parts of each day, the morning as well as the evening. A nundin was eight days long, and the remaining 29 days were called the rest of the days.
