Valentine’s Day is an old tradition. You could buy your beloved an edible chocolate or candy item, as well as an arrangement of flowers or an e-card. You might even choose to present them with jewelry.

Groundhogs are part of the Sciuridae which is a small group of mammals with hairy fur. They hibernate throughout the winter months. Groundhog Day mornings are a great time to spot the animals peering out of their burrows.

Presidents Daylight that falls on the third Monday of February, is regarded as an official holiday of the United States. The holiday honors to the previous American presidents. It is a day that is dedicated to the two presidents, Lincoln, Washington, and is Presidents Day since the beginning of its existence.
While it is a federal holiday However, many states don’t observe it. While some states celebrate both presidents birthdays on the exact same day as others however, some states only recognize only one. Presidents Day has become an occasion to celebrate all U.S. presidents, including Lincoln.
There’s a rich history that explains Presidents Day. The Washington’s Birthday was the initial name of the holiday. Today, Presidents’ day is the official name.
Washington’s birthday, also known as Washington’s Day was a well-known non-official holiday. In the 1870s, it was made a federal holiday. The Uniform Monday Holiday Act was approved by Congress.
Storms of Meteors
Every year, Earth rotates around its sun. Small meteors are released into the atmosphere. They are visible from anywhere in the sky. Some showers are more impressive than others. It is usually recommended to watch the showers at night.
Perseids is one of most beautiful and impressive meteor showers of the year 2018. This is because Comet 109P/SwiftTuttle is the culprit. Although it is visible in the Northern Hemisphere because of its high rate of fireworks, the Southern Hemisphere also has the most visibility.
Each year there are four important meteor showers. The Quadrantid is number one due to its strong but brief maximum. The Lyrid also is renowned for its peculiar surges. The Geminid is famous for its easygoing appearance.
Roman holidays from antiquity
The Lupercalia was a Roman festival that was adored by many. In February, in the middle the fertility and cleansing ceremony was conducted. The priests offered animal sacrifices on an altar near the Lapis Niiger. The hearth was then emptied of the blood of the animal. The grain fields were believed to be protected and fertility.
Ludi Ceriales is another celebration that was celebrated in honor of Ceres the goddess of harvest. Ludi Ceriales celebrations are documented from 202 BC.
Neptunalia and Saturnalia were some other well-known Roman celebrations. The celebrations were originally intended to pay tribute to Mars the god of war.
Roman working weeks had eight days. There were two phases to every day, the morning part and the afternoon. A nundin was a collection of eight days, and the remaining 29 days made up the rest of the year.
