February 14th

Groundhogs belong to of the Sciuridae family of tiny, hairy mammals. It is hibernates in the winter. On the morning of Groundhog Day, they are frequently spotted peering out of their burrows.

The third Monday in February is Presidents’ Daylight. It is recognized as a national holiday. It honors former American presidents. It is a day which celebrates both Lincoln, Washington, and has been Presidents Day since the beginning of its existence.
It’s a federal holiday which not all states observe, despite it being one. While some states recognize both the presidents’ birthdays on the same day however, some states only recognize one. Presidents’ Day, however, is now generally recognized as a chance to honor the achievements of all U.S. presidents, especially Lincoln.
The origins of Presidents’ Day is complex. The Washington’s Birthday was the first name of the day’s celebration. Today, Presidents’ day is the official name.
Washington’s birthday, more commonly referred to as Washington’s Day, is an unofficial holiday that is well-known. However, in the 1870s it was declared an official holiday recognized by the federal government. Congress passed the Uniform Monday holiday Act.
Meteors and storms
Each year each year, the Earth is in circle around the sun creating a torrent of small meteors to be released into space. They appear in any part of the sky. Some showers seem more impressive than others. It is usually the nighttime time for watching.
The Perseids meteor shower is among the most impressive and biggest of the meteor showers. This is because Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle is responsible for. It is visible from the Northern Hemisphere. Each year there are four important meteor showers. The Quadrantid 1 is well-known for its explosive but short peak. Another well-known for its odd spikes is the Lyrid. Geminids are a Geminid is well-known for being approachable.
Roman holidays that date back to antiquity
The Lupercalia festival was extremely well-known in the ancient city of Rome. A fertility and cleansing ceremony was held in mid February. Priests offered sacrifices to animals at an altar near the Lapis Niger in the ceremony. The hearth was filled with the animal’s blood. The grain fields were thought to benefit from its protection and fertility.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration was held to honor of Ceres the goddess of harvest. Ludi Ceriales celebrations were first documented in the year 202 BC.
Neptunalia, Saturnalia, Vestalia were only a few of the most well-known Roman celebrations. These were originally held to honour Mars god of war.Vestalia According to certain experts was the most popular among the three.
The Roman workweek was eight days long. Each day had two sections: morning and the afternoon. A nundin was a collection of eight days, while the other 29 days made up the remainder of the year.
