In the first decade of the 19th century, commercial cards were available. The popularity of these cards grew due to the increasing demand of printed postcards in large quantities. These cards were then displayed in stores as themed displays.
Valentine’s Day is traditionally marked by giving your loved one the gift of chocolate or candy, and a card or flower. It is possible to also give jewelry.

It has had a complex story. Washington’s Birthday was the first name of the celebration. It is now Presidents Day.
A well-known unofficial holiday was the birthday of President Washington, also referred to as Washington’s Day. It was declared an official holiday of the United States Congress in the late 1870s. The Uniform Monday Holiday Act was passed by Congress.

Roman holidays from antiquity
The Lupercalia was one of the most well-liked holidays in ancient Rome. In February, in the middle the fertility and cleansing ceremony was conducted. During the ceremony, priests offered animal sacrifices on an altar in front of the Lapis Niiger. The hearth was stuffed with the animal’s blood.
