February 14th
Valentine’s Day is an annual holiday that celebrates love, affection and celebration on February 14. It dates to the Middle Ages, when love was more common than sacramental and courtly.
It was a day to celebrate romantic love during the 14th century. On Valentine’s Day, it was customary to send flowers, cards, and gifts to one another.
Commercial cards were made available in the first quarter of the nineteenth century. The popularity of postcards that were printed in bulk also grew. These cards were then displayed in stores in themed displays.
Valentine’s Day is traditionally marked by gifting your loved ones a gift of candy or chocolate as well as a card or flower. It is also possible to give them jewelry.

Groundhogs belong to the Sciuridae which is a small group of mammals with hairy fur. It hibernates throughout the winter months. Groundhog Day is the most regular day they can be observed looking out of their burrows.

Presidents Daylight is observed on the third Monday of February, is regarded as a national holiday. The holiday honors the previous American presidents. It is a holiday that honors the two presidents, Lincoln, Washington, and it has been Presidents Since the day it was first introduced.
It’s a federal holiday that is not observed by all states despite being one. Some states honor both presidents simultaneously, whereas others only recognize one. Although Presidents’ day is now standard, it allows us to remember the names of all U.S. presidents and especially Lincoln.
It has had a complex history. Washington’s Birthday used to be the name used for the holiday. Today, it’s also known as Presidents Day.

Meteor showers
Each year, the Earth’s orbit rotates around sun. A torrent of small meteors is released into space. They are visible everywhere. Some showers seem more impressive than other. It is usually ideal to see the showers in the evening.
Perseids is among the most spectacular and stunning meteor showers in 2018. It is because Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle was the cause. While it’s visible in the Northern Hemisphere because of its massive fireworks, the Southern Hemisphere also has the highest visibility.
There are four major meteor showers each year. The Quadrantid is the first, and is famous for its short but intense maximum. Another is the Lyrid. It’s famous for its irregular surges. The Geminid is renowned for its sexy appearance.
Roman holiday celebrations in antiquity
The Lupercalia celebration was very well-known in the ancient city of Rome. A ritual of cleansing and fertility took place in the middle of February. The priests offered sacrifices of animals to an altar close to the Lapis Niiger. The hearth was filled with blood of the animal. The grain fields were believed to benefit from its protection and fertility.
Ludi Ceriales is another celebration that was held in honor Ceres the goddess of harvest. Since the year 202 BC, Ludi Ceriales celebrations are documented.
Vestalia, Saturnalia, and Neptunalia were among the famous Roman celebrations. These celebrations were originally held to honor Mars who was the god of war.
Roman workweeks ran for eight days. There were two parts to each day: morning and afternoon. The nundin was eight days long, and the remaining 29 days were called the rest.
