February 14th
Valentine’s Day is an annual holiday that celebrates love, affection and celebration on February 14. The celebration’s origins can be traced back to the Middle Ages, a time when sacraments and courtly love were all the rage.
It was the day to celebrate romance between romantic friends and lovers during the 14th century. It was customary to send Valentine’s Day flowers, cards and gifts to each other.
Commercial cards were available from the beginning of the 19th century. The demand for postcards that were printed in bulk also grew. These cards were then displayed in shops in themed displays.
Valentine’s Day is an old tradition. You can buy your loved one a chocolate gift or candy present along with the gift of flowers or an e-card. It is also possible to present them with jewelry.

Groundhog Day falls on February 2. It is also celebrated in Canada however it’s American Thanksgiving.
A belief system among Pennsylvanians Dutch people led to the festival. The American custom of making weather forecasts came to America through German immigration. Punxsutawney Phil is a Pennsylvania groundhog that makes predictions for the remainder of winter.
The whole thing began when scientists found an animal that was hibernating during the winter. The idea was to forecast the coming six weeks by studying the way animals react to weather conditions.
Groundhogs belong to the Sciuridae group of hairy mammals. In the winter months, their principal purpose is to go into hibernation. Groundhog Day is the most regular day they can be seen looking out of their burrows.
Christmas Day
Presidents’ Daylight is regarded as a national holiday observed on the third Monday of February. It is a day to honor past American presidents. Presidents’ Day is usually a day dedicated to Lincoln as well as Washington.
Despite being an official holiday of the United States but not every state observes the holiday in all states. Certain states celebrate the birthdays of both presidents at the same time, whereas others only honor one. Presidents Day is now widely recognized as a chance to recognize the achievements of all U.S. presidents, especially Lincoln.

Storms of Meteors
Each year each year, the Earth crosses its circle around the sun causing tiny meteors to explode into space. They can appear almost anywhere in the skies. Certain showers are more impressive than others. Nighttime is typically the best time to view.
The Perseids meteor shower is one of the most stunning and biggest of meteor showers. This is because Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle was the cause of it. Although it won’t be visible from the Northern Hemisphere due to the huge fireballs observed within the Southern Hemisphere, it is worth observing from there.
Every year there are four important meteor showers. One of them is Quadrantid. Its short , but massive peak is what makes it the most well-known. Another well-known for its odd surges is the Lyrid. The Geminid is also renowned for its likable appearance.
Roman holiday celebrations in antiquity
The Lupercalia is among the most celebrated holidays in the ancient city of Rome. In the middle of February there was a cleansing and fertility ceremony was held. Priests offered animal sacrifices at the altar for the Lapis Nuiger during the ceremony. Blood from the animal was poured in the hearth. The grain fields were believed to benefit from its protection and fertility.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration was dedicated to Ceres. Ludi Ceriales celebrations date back to 202 BC.
Neptunalia, Saturnalia, Vestalia were just a few of the well-known Roman celebrations. These celebrations were originally intended to honor Mars as the god of war.
The Roman week was eight days long. There were two phases of each day: the morning and the afternoon. A nundin consisted of eight days. The rest of the year was made up by the remaining 29 days.
