Presidents Daylight (third Monday in February) is a holiday that is celebrated across the nation. It is a day to honor previous American presidents. It has been a day to honour both Lincoln and Washington.
While it is a federal holiday however, many states do not observe it. Some states honor both presidents simultaneously, whereas some only honor one president. Presidents’ Day, however, is now generally celebrated as a time to celebrate every one of the U.S. presidents, especially Lincoln.
The story of Presidents’ Day is complicated. Washington’s Birthday is the original name of this celebration.
Washington’s birthday also known as Washington’s Day is a well-known non-official holiday. In the late 1870s, it became a national holiday. In the aftermath, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.
Meteors hurling storms

Roman holidays in antiquity
The Lupercalia was among the most well-liked holidays in the past of Rome. A cleansing and fertility ceremony took place in the middle of February. In this ceremony the priests offered sacrifices of animals on the altar next to the Lapis Naiger. The hearth was cleansed with the blood of the animal. The belief was that this would be beneficial to the grains by ensuring their fertility and also protecting them.
Ludi Ceriales was another celebration in honor Ceres the goddess of harvest. Since the year 202 BC, Ludi Ceriales celebrations are documented.
