February 14th
Valentine’s Day (February 14th) is a day that celebrates love and passion. It is celebrated every year. The Middle Ages are the time that Valentine’s Day was first celebrated. This is a time when courtly love and sacraments were still common.
It was considered a celebration that celebrated the love between romantic partners as well as close friends during the 14th century. Valentine’s Day is a time when you give Valentine’s Day gifts and flowers.
Commercial cards were introduced from the beginning of the 19th century. In addition, postcards printed in bulk gained popularity. These cards were used to create themed displays in stores.
Gifting your special someone an item of chocolate or candy, along with an arrangement or card is a typical Valentine’s Day tradition. You could also choose to gift them with jewellery.

Groundhog Day is celebrated annually on February 2. It’s also a very popular holiday in Canada However, Thanksgiving is an American holiday.
This celebration was born from a belief system that was popular that was prevalent among Pennsylvanians who spoke Dutch. The American tradition of making weather forecasts was brought to America with German immigrants. Punxsutawney Phil is a groundhog native to Pennsylvania is a meteorological forecaster for the remainder of winter.
The tradition was born when scientists discovered an animal that was hibernating in winter. The aim was to predict the weather conditions for the remaining six weeks by watching how animals react to it.
Groundhogs form part of the Sciuridae group of tiny hairy mammals. They hibernate throughout the winter months. Groundhog Day mornings are a great time to spot they are peering out of their burrows.
Christmas Day
The third Monday in February is the Presidents’ Daylight. It is considered a national holiday. It’s a tribute to all former American presidents. Presidents’ Day has traditionally been a day to honor both Washington and Lincoln.
Although it’s a national holiday however, many states do not observe it. Some states honor the birthdays of both presidents at the same time, but other states only recognize only one. The Presidents’ Day holiday is now widely recognized as a day to honor the achievements of all U.S. Presidents, especially Lincoln.
Presidents’ Day has a convoluted history. Washington’s Birthday was the original name of the celebration. Today, it is Presidents Day.
Washington’s birthday, also known as Washington’s Day is a well-known not-official holiday. But it became a recognized federal holiday in the late 1870s. In the aftermath, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.
Storms of Meteors
Every year, the Earth’s orbit rotates around sun. Small, tiny meteors explodes into space. They appear virtually everywhere in the skies. Some showers appear more impressive than other. It is generally the nighttime time to view.
Perseids are among the most spectacular and stunning meteor showers that occur throughout the entire year. It is because Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle was the primary cause. While it will be visible in the Northern Hemisphere because of its massive fireballs, the Southern Hemisphere also has the best visibility.
Four significant meteor showers occur each year. The Quadrantid, number 1, is well-known for its potent but brief peak. A different one that stands out for its distinctive surges is The Lyrid. In addition the Geminid is renowned for its sexy appearance.
Roman holidays in antiquity
The Lupercalia was one of the most well-liked holidays in the past of Rome. The month of February was when a fertility cleansing ceremony was held. During the ceremony, priests offered animal sacrifices on an altar close to the Lapis Niiger. The hearth was stuffed with blood of the animal. The fertility and protection of the blood was believed to have been beneficial to the grain fields.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration was dedicated to Ceres. Since the year 202 BC, Ludi Ceriales celebrations were recorded.
Other well-known Roman festivities include Neptunalia, Saturnalia and Vestalia. The celebrations were originally celebrated in honor of Mars, the godof war.
Roman workweeks were eight days long. Every day was divided into two parts: the morning or the afternoon. The nundin was comprised of 8 days. The rest of the year was constituted by the remaining days.
