February 14th
Valentine’s Day (February 14th) is a holiday to celebrate the love and passion of a person. It is celebrated each year. The origins of the holiday can be traced back to the Middle Ages, a time when sacraments and courtly love were commonplace.
It was the day to celebrate love between romantic friends and lovers during the 14th century. Valentine’s Day was a day when it was customary for lovers and friends to give gifts, flowers and cards.
In the early years of the 19th century commercial cards were widely available. Postcards printed in bulk also received a lot of attention. These postcards were displayed in shops as displays with themes.
Giving your loved one an item of chocolate or candy together with a card or flower is a typical Valentine’s Day tradition. You may also choose to give them jewelry.

Groundhog Day occurs annually on February 2. It is also a popular holiday in Canada however, Thanksgiving is an American holiday.
The idea for this celebration came from a belief system that was popular in the minds of Pennsylvanians who spoke Dutch. The custom of forecasting weather was introduced to the United States by German immigrants. Punxsutawney Philip Punxsutawney Philip, a Pennsylvania groundhog, offers meteorological forecasts throughout the rest of the winter.
When scientists discovered that mice hibernated in winter, they laid the foundation for this custom. The goal was to predict the following six weeks of season using observations about the way that animals reacted.
Groundhogs are part of the Sciuridae family of small hairy mammals. In the winter months, their main purpose is to go into hibernation. The morning of Groundhog Day, they are often observed peeking out of burrows.
Christmas Day
Presidents’ Daylight is regarded as a national holiday observed on the third Monday in February. It’s a tribute to all past American presidents. The Presidents’ Day was typically a day of celebration to honor Lincoln and Washington.
Although it’s a federal holiday many states don’t observe it. Certain states honor both presidents, whereas others are only allowed to recognize only one. While Presidents’ Day is now a common thing however, it is a good opportunity to honor all U.S. presidents and especially Lincoln.
Presidents’ Day has a convoluted history. Washington’s Birthday was the initial title of the holiday and is now known as Presidents Day.
Washington’s birthday is well-known as an not officially recognized holiday, as well as Washington’s Day. It was declared a national holiday by Congress in the late 1870s. In the aftermath, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.

Priests offered animal sacrifices on the altar to the Lapis Nuiger during the ceremony. The hearth was then cleaned of blood from the animal. The grain fields were believed to benefit from its protection and fertility.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration was dedicated to Ceres. Ludi Ceriales celebrations are documented back to 202 BC.
Neptunalia was among the most well-known Roman festivities. The celebrations were initially planned to celebrate Mars as the god of war.
Roman workweeks were 8 days long. Each day had two parts: the morning and the afternoon. Nundin was a collection of 8 days. The remaining 29 days comprised the rest of the year.
