February 14th

It was a celebration of love between romantic partners during the 14th century. Valentine’s Day is a time where you can send Valentine’s Day gifts and flowers.
In the beginning of the 19th century commercial cards became easily available. Also, postcards that were printed in bulk gained popularity. These cards were used to make themed displays for stores.
Valentine’s Day is a tradition that includes the gift of candy or chocolate and a card and flowers. It is also possible to give them jewelry.

Groundhog Day is celebrated annually on February 2. Even though it is popular in Canada the Thanksgiving holiday is an American holiday.
The celebration was conceived of as a superstition among Pennsylvanians Dutch immigrants. However, Americans gained the tradition of predicting weather forecasts from German immigrants. Punxsutawney Philip, one of the Pennsylvania groundhog, gives meteorological forecasts for the rest of the winter.
The practice was first introduced after scientists discovered mice that hibernate during winter. The initial idea was to predict the duration of the seasons by observing how animals responded to conditions.
Groundhogs are part of the Sciuridae, a small family of mammals with hairy fur. It is hibernates through the winter months. Groundhog Day is a common day on which they are looking out from their burrows.
Christmas Day
Presidents’ Daylight is regarded as a national holiday observed on the third Monday in February. It is a day to honor previous American presidents. It was a time to pay tribute to both Lincoln and Washington.
While it’s a federal holiday but not every state observes the holiday in all states. Certain states celebrate the birthdays of both presidents at the same time, while other states only recognize one. Presidents Day has become an opportunity to remember the all U.S. presidents, including Lincoln.

Roman holidays from antiquity
The Lupercalia was a Roman holiday that was loved by many. The cleansing and fertility ceremony took place in February, in the middle. In this ceremony it was a time when priests offered sacrifices to animals on the altar alongside the Lapis Naiger. The hearth was filled with the blood of the animal. The belief was that this would be beneficial to the grain crops by ensuring fertility and securing the crops from damage.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration was held in honour of Ceres, the harvest goddess. Ludi Ceriales celebrations can be traced back to 202 BC.
Vestalia, Saturnalia, and Neptunalia were three other well-known Roman celebrations. The celebrations were originally intended to celebrate Mars the god of war.
