February 14th
Valentine’s Day celebrates love and passion on the 14th of February every year. The Middle Ages are the time that Valentine’s Day was first celebrated. This is a time when courtly love as well as sacraments were still common.
It was a day to celebrate romance between lovers in the 14th century. Valentine’s Day is a time where you can give Valentine’s Day gifts and flowers.
At the start of the 19th century commercial cards had already been created. Also, postcards that were printed in large quantities gained popularity. These themed displays were put up in stores.
Valentine’s Day is traditionally marked by giving your loved ones an item of chocolate or candy, along with a card or flower. You may also choose to present them with jewelry.

Groundhog Day occurs annually on February 2. Groundhog Day is observed every year in Canada on February 2.
The belief in the superstition of Pennsylvanians Dutch people led to the celebration. The practice of forecasting the weather was brought in America by German immigrants. PunxsutawneyPhil is a Pennsylvania groundhog who makes forecasts for winter weather throughout the year.
This custom originated from an observation by scientists that mouse hibernates in winter. The idea was to forecast the six weeks ahead by studying how animals respond to weather conditions.
Groundhogs are part of the Sciuridae, a small family of hairy mammals. They hibernate in winter. Groundhog Day is the most regular day they can be in view from their burrows.
Christmas Day
Presidents Daylight is observed on the third Monday of February, is considered to be a national holiday. It’s an honor to all previous American presidents. It has been a day to pay tribute to both Lincoln and Washington.
Although it is a federal holiday not all states observe it. Certain states honor both presidents at the same time, while some only honor one president. But, Presidents’ Day is now widely accepted as a way to recognize all U.S. Presidents, especially Lincoln.
It has had a complex history. Washington’s Birthday was the initial name for the holiday and is now known as Presidents’ Day.
Washington’s birthday also known by the title Washington’s Day was a well-known non-official holiday. However, it was recognized as a as a federal holiday in the 1870s. In response, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.
Storms of Meteors
Every year, Earth moves around the sun. Every year, tiny meteors are released into space. They are visible everywhere in the sky. Some showers can be more striking than others. Nighttime is often the best time to watch.
Perseids are the most spectacular and stunning meteor shower of the year. It is because Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle was the cause of it. While it’s visible in the Northern Hemisphere because of its large number of fireworks however, the Southern Hemisphere also has the most visibility.
Every year, there are four major meteor showers. The Quadrantid Number one is renowned for its brief but potent maximum. A different one that stands out for its distinctive surges is The Lyrid. In addition the Geminid is famous for its sexy appearance.
Roman holiday celebrations in antiquity
The Lupercalia holiday was very popular in ancient Rome. A cleansing and fertility ceremony was held in mid February. Priests offered animal sacrifices on the altar for the Lapis Nuiger during the ceremony. The hearth was filled up with the animal’s blood. The grain fields were thought to benefit from its protection and fertility.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration was dedicated to Ceres. Ludi Ceriales celebrations can be traced back to the year 202 BC.
Neptunalia was one of the most popular Roman festivities. The celebrations were originally celebrated in honor of Mars, the godof war.
Roman workweeks took eight days. Each day had two parts: the morning, and afternoon. Nundin was an eight-day collection, the rest of the year made up of 29 days.
