Presidents Daylight (third Monday in February) is a national holiday. It is a tribute to the past presidents of America. It was a time to honour both Lincoln and Washington.
Although it’s an annual holiday of the United States, several states do not observe it. Some states honor both birthdays of presidents on the exact same day . Other states might only celebrate only one. But, Presidents’ Day is now widely accepted as a way to recognize the achievements of all U.S. Presidents, especially Lincoln.
It has had a complex history. Washington’s Birthday was the first reason for the title of the celebration.
Washington’s birthday also known as Washington’s Day is a well-known not-official holiday. It was declared an official holiday of the United States Congress in the 1870s. The Uniform Monday Holiday Act was approved by Congress.
Storms of Meteors
Each year, the Earth orbits in the solar system. This triggers a rush of small meteors that are released into space. They are visible almost everywhere in the skies. Certain showers are more stunning than others. The best time for viewing them is at night.

Roman holidays from antiquity
The Lupercalia celebration was very popular in ancient Rome. In February, a fertility cleansing ceremony was held. Priests offered sacrifices of animals at the altar to the Lapis Nuiger at the time of the ceremony. The animal’s blood was dumped in the hearth. The fertility and protection of blood is believed to have been beneficial to the grain field.
Ludi Ceriales was another celebration to pay tribute to Ceres (the goddess of the harvest). Since 202 BC, Ludi Ceriales celebrations have been recorded.
Vestalia, Saturnalia, and Neptunalia were a few other famous Roman celebrations. The celebrations were initially planned to celebrate Mars, the god war.
Roman workweeks lasted eight days. There were two parts of each day: morning and afternoon. A nundin was a collection of 8 days. The remaining 29 days comprised the rest of the year.
