February 14th
Valentine’s Day celebrates love and passion every February 14. The holiday’s beginnings can be traced to the Middle Ages, a time where sacraments and courtly love were commonplace.
It was considered a celebration that celebrated romance between romantic partners and close friends in the 14th-century. In the 14th century, on Valentine’s Day, it was customary to send flowers, cards and presents to each other.
Commercial cards were available in the first quarter of the nineteenth century. Postcards printed in bulk received a lot of attention. These cards were popularized in retail stores as displays of themed designs.
Valentine’s Day is a tradition that includes the gift of candy or chocolate along with the gift of a card and flowers. It is also possible to present them with jewelry.

Groundhog Day is observed annually on February 2. Groundhog Day is celebrated every year in Canada on February 2.
The celebration originated from superstition from Pennsylvanians as well as Dutch people. However, Americans gained the custom of predicting weather forecasts from German immigrants. PunxsutawneyPhil, a Pennsylvania groundhog, makes meteorological predictions for all of the winter.
It all started when researchers discovered an animal that was hibernating during the winter. The plan was to forecast the coming six weeks of the season using observations about how the animals responded.
Groundhogs are part of the Sciuridae family of tiny hairy mammals. They are winter animals and their main job is to hibernate. On the morning of Groundhog Day, they are often seen peeking out from their burrows.
Christmas Day
Presidents’ Daylight is regarded as a national holiday observed on the third Monday in February. It is a celebration of the previous presidents of America. It has been a day to pay tribute to both Lincoln and Washington.
Although it’s a federal holiday however, many states do not observe it. Some states honor both birthdays of presidents on the exact same day . Other states only honor only one. Presidents’ Day, however, is now generally celebrated as a time to recognize the achievements of all U.S. presidents, especially Lincoln.
The history of Presidents’ Day is a bit tangled. The Washington’s Birthday was the initial name of the holiday. Today the Presidents’ Day holiday is the official title.
Washington’s birthday, more commonly known as Washington’s Day is a well-known unofficial holiday. However, it was recognized as a as a federal holiday in the 1870s. In the aftermath, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.
Meteors and storms
Every year, Earth moves around the sun. Each year, small meteors are released into space. They are visible from all directions. Some showers are more impressive than others. The best time for watching.
One of the biggest and most stunning meteor showers in the world is the Perseids. It is because of Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle. It will be seen from the Northern Hemisphere, but as the Southern Hemisphere has some of the highest rates of fireballs and astrophysical activity, it’s also worth to observe from there.
There are four major meteor showers each year. One of them is Quadrantid. Its short , but massive peak is what makes it most famous. Another famous for its strange surges is the Lyrid. The Geminid is renowned for its sexy appearance.
Roman holidays in antiquity
The Lupercalia is among the most well-known holidays of the ancient city of Rome. A cleansing and fertility ceremony was observed in February. Priests offered animal sacrifices near the altar of Lapis Negiger during the ceremony. The hearth was saturated with the animal’s blood. It was believed to be beneficial to the fertility of the fields of grain.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration, was celebrated in honor of Ceres the goddess of harvest. Ludi Ceriales celebrations were first documented in the year 202 BC.
Neptunalia, Saturnalia, Vestalia were only a few of the most well-known Roman celebrations. These were originally celebrated in honor of Mars the god of war.
Roman working weeks lasted for eight days. There were two periods of each day: the morning and the afternoon. Nundin was an eight-day collection, with the rest of the year being made up of 29 days.
