February 14th
Valentine’s Day is an annual holiday that is a celebration of love, passion , and is observed on February 14th. The Middle Ages are the time that Valentine’s Day was first celebrated. It was a period when courtly love and sacraments were still common.
It was considered to be an occasion to celebrate romance between romantic partners and friends during the 14th century. Valentine’s Day is a time when you send Valentine’s Day gifts and flowers.
In the beginning of the 19th century, commercial cards were available. The demand for postcards printed in bulk was also growing. These cards were used to create themed displays in shops.
Valentine’s Day traditions include buying your special someone a candy or chocolate present along with a bouquet of flowers or a card. You might even choose to present them with jewelry.

Groundhog Day, which is celebrated every February 2 and is an annual event. Groundhog Day is celebrated every year in Canada on February 2.
The celebration originated out of a belief in superstition among Pennsylvanians who spoke Dutch. However, the practice of making weather predictions was introduced to the United States with German immigration. Punxsutawney Phil is a Pennsylvania groundhog who gives forecasts for the rest of winter.
The tradition was born from an observation by scientists that mouse hibernates during winter. The idea was to predict the next six weeks of the season based on observations of the way that animals reacted.
Groundhogs are part of Sciuridae, a small family of mammals that have hair. It hibernates during winter. On the morning of Groundhog Day, they are often seen looking out of their burrows.
Christmas Day
Presidents’ Daylight is regarded as a national holiday observed on the third Monday in February. It’s an honor to all past American presidents. It is a day to pay tribute to both Lincoln and Washington.
Although it’s a federal holiday some states do not observe it. Certain states honor both presidents at the same time, while others only recognize one. But, Presidents’ Day is now widely accepted as a means of honoring all U.S. Presidents, especially Lincoln.
Presidents Day has a complicated past. Washington’s Birthday was the first name of the event. Today, it is Presidents’ Day.
Washington’s Birthday, also known as Washington’s Day, is an unofficial holiday that is well-known. However, in the 1870s it became an official holiday recognized by the federal government. In response, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.
Storms of Meteors
Every year, Earth moves around the sun. Each year, small meteors are released into space. They may appear everywhere. Certain showers are more spectacular than others. It is usually ideal to see the showers at night.
Perseids is one of most spectacular and stunning meteor showers of 2018. This is due to the fact that the comet 109P/Swift Tuttle was the cause. Although it is visible in the Northern Hemisphere because of its massive fireballs, the Southern Hemisphere also has the most visibility.
There are four major meteor showers each year. One of the most famous meteor showers is the Quadrantid. This shower is known for its brief but extremely powerful peak. Another is the Lyrid that is renowned for its unusual surges. In addition the Geminid is famous for its approachable appearance.
Roman holidays dating to antiquity
The Lupercalia was a major holiday in ancient Rome. A fertility and cleansing ceremony took place in February, in the middle. Priests offered animal sacrifices at the altar to the Lapis Nuiger at the time of the ceremony. The hearth was then cleaned of the animal’s blood. The fields of grain were believed to benefit from its protection and fertility.
Ludi Ceriales is another celebration that was celebrated in honor of Ceres the goddess of harvest. Since 202 BC, Ludi Ceriales celebrations are documented.
Neptunalia was among the more well-known Roman festivities. These celebrations were initially held in honor of Mars the god of war.
Roman workweeks took eight days. There were two parts to each day: the morning part and the afternoon. The nundin was a collection of eight days. the other 29 days comprised the remainder of the year.
