It all started when researchers discovered a mouse that hibernated throughout the winter. The idea was to predict the following six weeks of season by observing how animals responded.
Groundhogs are part of the Sciuridae group of small hairy mammals. In the winter months, their primary objective is to hibernate. Groundhog Day is the most regular day they can be observed looking out of their burrows.

Presidents’ Daylight is regarded as a national holiday on the third Monday in February. It celebrates the former American presidents. Presidents’ Day has traditionally served as a day to celebrate both Washington and Lincoln.
Although it’s a national holiday however, many states do not observe it. Certain states honor both presidents simultaneously, while other states only honor one. The Presidents Day holiday is an opportunity to remember the all U.S. presidents, including Lincoln.
Presidents Day has a complicated past. Washington’s Birthday was the original name of the celebration. The day is now known as Presidents’ Day.
