The story began when scientists found a mouse that hibernated throughout the winter. The initial idea was to predict the duration of each season by studying how animals responded to conditions.
Groundhogs belong to the Sciuridae, a small family of mammals that have hair. It hibernates in winter. The morning of Groundhog Day, they are often observed peeking out of burrows.

Presidents Daylight, which falls on the third Monday of February, is considered to be a national holiday. The holiday honors the previous American presidents. It was a time to honor both Lincoln and Washington.
Although it’s a national holiday, many states do not observe it. Some states honor both presidents simultaneously, while other states only honor one. However, Presidents’ Day is now widely recognized as a way to recognize all U.S. Presidents, especially Lincoln.
Presidents’ Day has a convoluted past. Washington’s Birthday was the name used for the celebration. Now, it is known as Presidents Day.

Vestalia, Saturnalia, and Neptunalia were a few other well-known Roman celebrations. They were held originally in honor of Mars god of war.Vestalia, according to some academics was the most popular among the three.
Roman working weeks lasted for eight days. Every day was divided into two parts: the morning and afternoon. A nundin was a collection of eight days. The remaining 29 days were the remainder of the calendar year.
