The third Monday in February is known as Presidents’ Daylight. It is recognized as a national holiday. It is a day to honor previous American presidents. It has been a day to honour both Lincoln and Washington.
Despite being an official holiday of the United States but not every state observes it. Some states recognize both presidents, while others only recognize one president. However, Presidents’ Day is now widely accepted as a day to honor the achievements of all U.S. Presidents, especially Lincoln.

Meteor storms
Every year it is observed that the Earth is orbiting in the solar system. This triggers a rush of tiny meteors which are released into space. They can appear almost anywhere in the skies. Some showers are more stunning than others. It is generally the nighttime moment to observe.
The Perseids meteor shower is one of the most stunning and largest of all the meteor showers. It is because of Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle. It will be visible from Northern Hemisphere. Roman holidays from antiquity
The Lupercalia is one of the most celebrated holidays in ancient Rome. A ritual of cleansing and fertility was held in mid February. Priests offered animal sacrifices near the altar of the Lapis Negiger in this ceremony. The hearth was filled with the blood of the animal. The belief was that it would be beneficial for the fertility and protection of the fields of grain.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration was held to honor of Ceres the goddess of harvest. Ludi Ceriales celebrations are documented as far back as the year 202 BC.
