February 14th
Valentine’s Day celebrates love and love every February 14. The holiday’s beginnings can be traced back to the Middle Ages, a time where sacraments and courtly love were commonplace.
It was celebrated the love between romantic friends and lovers during the 14th century. Valentine’s Day was the day to send one another gifts, flowers, and even cards.

The tradition was born out of beliefs that were derived from Pennsylvanians and Dutch people. The tradition of forecasting the weather was introduced to America by German immigrants. Punxsutawney Philip, a Pennsylvania groundhog, offers meteorological forecasts for the remainder of winter.
Scientists discovered that a mouse hibernated during winter. The idea was to forecast the next six weeks by studying how animals react to weather conditions.
Groundhogs belong to of the Sciuridae Family of small hairy mammals. In winter, their main job is to go into hibernation. Groundhog Day mornings are a excellent time to observe the animals peering out of their burrows.
Christmas Day
The third Monday of February, President’s Daylight is recognized as an official holiday of the United States. It honors previous American presidents. It is a day to pay tribute to both Lincoln and Washington.
Despite being a federal holiday but not every state observes the holiday in all states. Certain states observe both birthdays of presidents on the day, while some states only honor only one. However, Presidents’ Day is now widely recognized as a means of honoring the achievements of all U.S. Presidents, especially Lincoln.
There is a long and complicated story behind Presidents Day. Washington’s Birthday was the first title of the celebration.
Washington’s Birthday, also known as Washington’s Day, is an not a holiday recognized by the government but is widely known. It was made a federal holiday in late 1870s. In response, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.
Meteor storms
Each year, Earth rotates around its sun. Small meteors are released into the atmosphere. They are visible from anywhere in the sky. Some showers are more impressive than others. Nighttime is typically the best moment to observe.
