While it’s a federal holiday some states do not observe it. Certain states observe both birthdays of the presidents on the same day . Other states might only celebrate only one. Although Presidents’ day is now common this holiday allows us to honor the names of all U.S. presidents and especially Lincoln.

Presidents’ Day has a convoluted past. Washington’s Birthday used to be the original name for the celebration. Now, it is also known as Presidents Day.

Meteor storms

Priests offered animal sacrifices near the altar of the Lapis Negiger in this ceremony. The hearth was emptied with the blood of the animal. It was believed that it would be beneficial to the crop by increasing fertility and protecting them.

Ludi Ceriales was another celebration to honor Ceres the goddess of harvest. Since the year 202 BC, Ludi Ceriales celebrations are documented.

Vestalia, Saturnalia, and Neptunalia were a few other famous Roman celebrations. These celebrations were originally intended to celebrate Mars as the god of war.

Roman workweeks took eight days. Every day was divided into two parts: the morning and afternoon. A nundin was a collection of eight days. the remaining 29 days made up the remainder of the year.
