February 14th
Valentine’s Day (February 14th) is a day that celebrates love and passion. It is celebrated every year. The celebration’s origins can be traced back to the Middle Ages, a time when sacraments and courtly love were all the rage.
It was considered to be a celebration that celebrated the love between romantic partners as well as friends in the 14th century. On Valentine’s Day, it was customary to send cards, flowers, and gifts to one another.
Commercial cards were introduced from the beginning of the 19th century. The demand for postcards printed in bulk was also increasing. They were also very popular in shops as they could be displayed with themed designs.
Gifting your special someone an item of chocolate or candy, along with flowers or a card is a classic Valentine’s Day tradition. You can also gift them jewelry.

Groundhog Day is celebrated annually on February 2. It’s also a very popular holiday in Canada however, Thanksgiving is an American holiday.
This celebration was born out a superstition that originated among Pennsylvanians who were Dutch. However, the practice of making weather predictions came to the United States with German immigration. Punxsutawney Phil Groundhog, a groundhog from Pennsylvania is a meteorological forecaster for the remainder of winter.
The idea for this custom originated from an observation by scientists that mouse hibernates during winter. The idea was to forecast the next six weeks by studying how animals respond to the weather.
Groundhogs are part of the Sciuridae group of tiny hairy mammals. In the winter months, their main goal is to go into hibernation. Groundhog Day is a common day when they can be observed peering out of their burrows.
Christmas Day
Presidents Daylight is observed on the third Monday in February, is considered to be to be a national holiday. It is a day to pay tribute to past American presidents. In the past, Presidents Day been a time of celebration for both Lincoln and Washington.
Despite being a federal holiday, not all states observe it. While some states celebrate both presidents birthdays on the exact same day as others however, some states only recognize one. However, Presidents’ Day is widely regarded as an opportunity to recognize the achievements of all U.S. presidentials, particularly Lincoln.
The history of Presidents’ Day is a bit tangled. Washington’s Birthday was the initial name of the holiday. Today Presidents’ Day is the official title.
Washington’s Birthday, also known as Washington’s Day, is an non-official holiday, but it is well-known. It became an official federal holiday in the late 1870s. As a result, Congress approved the Uniform Monday Holiday Act.
Meteor showers
Each year, Earth moves around the sun. Each year, small meteors are released into space. They are visible in all directions. Certain showers are more spectacular than others. The best time of day to observe.

Each year, there are four significant meteor showers. The Quadrantid is the most prominent due to its power but brief maximum. Another well-known for its odd spikes is the Lyrid. The Geminid is renowned for its sexy appearance.
Roman holidays in antiquity
The Lupercalia was a popular holiday in ancient Rome. A ritual of cleansing and fertility was held in February. Priests offered sacrifices of animals near the altar of Lapis Negiger during this ritual. The hearth was stuffed with the blood of the animal. The belief was that it would be beneficial for fertility of the grain fields.
Ludi Ceriales is another celebration which was celebrated to honor Ceres the goddess of harvest. Ludi Ceriales celebrations are documented back to 202 BC.
Other popular Roman celebrations include Neptunalia, Saturnalia and Vestalia. They were held originally to honor Mars, the god of war.Vestalia, according to some experts was the most popular of the three.
Roman workweeks took eight days. There were two parts to every day: morning and afternoon. The nundin lasted 8 days. The rest of the year was constituted by the remaining 29 days.
