Although it’s a federal holiday , not all states observe it. Some states recognize the presidents of both countries, while others are only allowed to recognize only one. While Presidents’ Day is now a common thing this holiday allows us to remember all U.S. presidents and especially Lincoln.

Washington’s birthday, also known as Washington’s Day is a well-known unofficial holiday. It was declared a federal holiday by Congress in the late 1870s. In reaction, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.
