Groundhogs form part of the Sciuridae family of small, hairy mammals. They hibernate in winter. Groundhog Day is the most common day they can be seen looking out of their burrows.

While it is an official holiday, not every state observes this holiday. Some states celebrate both the birthdays of the presidents on the day, while some states might only celebrate one. Presidents’ Day, however, is now commonly recognized as a chance to recognize all U.S. presidents, especially Lincoln.

Storms of Meteors
Every year each year, the Earth crosses its circle around the sun which causes a torrent of small meteors to explode into space. They may appear from all directions. Some showers appear more impressive in comparison to others. It is usually recommended to watch the showers at night.
The Perseids meteor shower is among the most stunning and largest of all meteor showers. It is because the comet 109P/Swift Tuttle was the primary cause. It’s visible only in the Northern Hemisphere. However, due to the fact that the Southern Hemisphere has the highest fireball rates, it’s worthwhile looking from there.
There are four meteor showers that dominate the sky each year. The Quadrantid is the first due to its strong but short maximum. The other is the Lyrid. It’s known for its odd surges. A Geminid is famous for being approachable.
Roman holidays dating to antiquity
The Lupercalia festival was extremely popular in ancient Rome. In the middle of February there was a cleansing and fertility ceremony was held. Priests offered animal sacrifices at the altar for the Lapis Nuiger at the time of the ceremony. The hearth was emptied of the animal’s blood. It was believed to be beneficial for the fertility and protection of the grain fields.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration was dedicated to Ceres. Ludi Ceriales celebrations were first documented in 202 BC.
Neptunalia, Saturnalia, Vestalia were just a few examples of the most well-known Roman celebrations. These celebrations were originally held in honor of Mars who was the god of war.
Roman workweeks were 8 days long. Every day was divided into two parts: morning and afternoon. A nundin was a collection of eight days, and the remaining 29 days comprised the remainder of the year.
