Groundhogs belong to of the Sciuridae family of tiny, hairy mammals. It hibernates in winter. Groundhog Day mornings are a perfect time to see they are peering out of their burrows.

But, Presidents’ Day is now widely accepted as a way to recognize all U.S. Presidents, especially Lincoln.
