The Sciuridae family of small hairy mammals also includes groundhogs. It hibernates during winter. The morning of Groundhog Day, they are often observed peeking out of burrows.
Christmas Day
On the third Monday of February President’s Daylight is recognized as an American holiday. It is a celebration of the past presidents of America. The Presidents’ Day holiday was typically a day of celebration to honor Lincoln and Washington.
Although it is an official holiday of the United States however, not all states observe the holiday in all states. Certain states celebrate the birthdays of both presidents at the same time, but other states only recognize only one president. But Presidents’ Day is widely regarded as an opportunity to recognize all U.S. presidentials, particularly Lincoln.
Presidents’ Day has a convoluted past. Washington’s Birthday was the initial title of the holiday, which is now known as Presidents Day.
A well-known unofficial holiday was the birthday of Washington, which is often known as Washington’s Day. It became an official federal holiday in the late 1870s. Congress adopted the Uniform Monday Day Holiday Act.
Meteor showers

Roman holiday celebrations in antiquity
The Lupercalia was a popular festival in ancient Rome. A cleansing and fertility ceremony were held in the middle February. Priests offered animal sacrifices near the altar of the Lapis Negiger in this ceremony. The animal’s blood was dumped in the hearth. The belief was that it would be beneficial for fertility and protection of the grain fields.
Ludi Ceriales, another celebration was held to honor of Ceres, the harvest goddess. Ludi Ceriales celebrations date back to 202 BC.
Vestalia, Saturnalia, and Neptunalia were among the popular Roman celebrations. These celebrations were initially held to honor Mars, the godof war.
Roman working weeks were eight days long. Each day had two parts: morning or afternoon. Nundin was an 8-day collection, the rest of the year being comprised of 29 days.
