The tradition was born when scientists found mice that hibernate in the winter. It was planned to predict the next six weeks by studying how animals react to the weather.
Groundhogs are part of Sciuridae, a small family of hairy mammals. In winter, their primary goal is to hibernate. Groundhog Day’s morning is when they can be visible peeking out of burrows.
Christmas Day
On the third Monday of February President’s Daylight is recognized as a national holiday. It is a celebration of the presidents who have gone before us. It is a day which is dedicated to the two presidents, Lincoln, Washington, and is Presidents Since the day it was first introduced.

Roman holidays in antiquity
