Presidents Daylight is observed on the third Monday of February, is considered to be to be a national holiday. The holiday honors the previous American presidents. The Presidents Day holiday has been a time of celebration for both Lincoln and Washington.
Although it is a federal holiday not all states observe it. While some states celebrate both presidents birthdays on the same day however, some states only recognize only one. Presidents’ Day, however, is now commonly considered to be a day to celebrate the achievements of all U.S. presidents, especially Lincoln.
The history of the Presidents’ Day holiday is a bit tangled. Washington’s Birthday was the first name of the celebration. Today the Presidents’ Day holiday is the official title.
Washington’s birthday, often referred to by the title Washington’s Day was a well-known not-official holiday. It was recognized as a national holiday by Congress in the late 1870s. In the end, Congress approved the Uniform Monday Holiday Act.
Meteor storms
