Groundhogs belong to the Sciuridae which is a small group of mammals that have hair. They hibernate in winter. Groundhog Day’s morning, they are often observed peeking out of burrows.
Christmas Day
Presidents’ Daylight is regarded as an American holiday that falls on the third Monday of February. It pays tribute to past American presidents. It is a day which is dedicated to the two presidents, Lincoln, Washington, and has been Presidents Since the day it was first introduced.
It is a federal holiday which not all states observe, despite it being one. While some states recognize both presidents birthdays on the exact same day as others however, some states only recognize only one. However, Presidents’ Day is widely recognized as an opportunity to recognize all U.S. presidentials, particularly Lincoln.
Presidents’ Day has a convoluted past. The Washington’s Birthday was the initial name of the celebration. Today Presidents’ Day is the official title.
Washington’s birthday also known by the title Washington’s Day was a well-known non-official holiday. It was declared an official federal holiday in the late 1870s. In response, Congress passed Uniform Monday Holiday Law.
Meteors hurling storms
Each year, Earth’s orbit revolves around sun. Small, tiny meteors explodes into space. They are visible almost everywhere in the sky. Some showers can be more impressive than others. Nighttime is typically the best moment to observe.

Roman holidays that date back to antiquity
The Lupercalia was a major festival in ancient Rome. In February, in the middle the fertility and cleansing ceremony was conducted. Priests offered sacrifices to animals at an altar near the Lapis Niger during the ritual. The hearth was then emptied of blood from the animal. It was thought that the hearth would provide fertility and security for the grain fields.
Ludi Ceriales was another celebration in honor of Ceres the goddess of harvest. Ludi Ceriales celebrations date back to the year 202 BC.
Vestalia, Saturnalia, and Neptunalia were a few other well-known Roman celebrations. These celebrations were originally held to honor Mars who was the god of war.
Roman workweeks were eight days long. There were two periods to every day: the morning and the afternoon. A nundin was a collection of eight days, while the remaining 29 days comprised the remainder of the year.
