February 14th
Valentine’s Day is a day dedicated to love and love that is observed every the 14th of February every year. The origins of the holiday can be traced to the Middle Ages when courtly love and sacraments were well-known.

Valentine’s Day is an old tradition. You can buy your beloved chocolates or a candy present along with the gift of flowers or even a card. You could also choose to present them with jewellery.

Groundhog Day occurs annually on February 2. It is also celebrated in Canada but it is American Thanksgiving.
The tradition was born out of beliefs that were derived from Pennsylvanians and Dutch people. The custom of forecasting weather originated in the United States with German immigration. Punxsutawney Philip is a Pennsylvania groundhog, offers meteorological forecasts for the rest of the winter.
It all started when scientists found an animal that was hibernating during the winter. The initial idea was to predict six weeks of each season by studying how animals reacted to the climate.
Groundhogs are part of the Sciuridae which is a tiny family of mammals that have hair. During the winter, its primary purpose is to go into hibernation. Groundhog Day is the most regular day they can be in view from their burrows.
Christmas Day
The third Monday of February is known as Presidents’ Daylight. It is considered a national holiday. It is a day to honor previous American presidents. Presidents’ Day has historically been a day to celebrate both Washington and Lincoln.
Although it is an official holiday, not all states observe this day. While some states celebrate both the presidents’ birthdays on the same day as others however, some states only recognize one. The Presidents’ Day holiday is now widely recognized as a day to honor all U.S. Presidents, especially Lincoln.
The history of Presidents’ Day is complicated. Washington’s Birthday was the original name for the holiday. Today, it’s called Presidents Day.
Washington’s birthday is an incredibly well-known and unofficial holiday, also known as Washington’s Day. However, it was recognized as a as a federal holiday in the 1870s. The Uniform Monday Holiday Act was approved by Congress.
Meteor showers
Each year it is the time when the Earth passes through its orbit around the sun, which causes a torrent of small meteors to be released into space. They can appear almost anywhere in the skies. Some showers can be more impressive than others. It is usually the nighttime time to watch.
Perseids is among the most beautiful and impressive meteor showers of the year 2018. This is due to the fact that Comet 109P/Swift Tuttle was the cause. Although it will be visible from the Northern Hemisphere due to the large number of fireballs that occur within the Southern Hemisphere, it is worthwhile to observe from that area.
Every year, there are four major meteor showers. One of the most famous meteor showers is called the Quadrantid. This shower is known for its brief but extremely strong peak. Another notable for its unique surges is The Lyrid. The Geminid is also famous for its approachable appearance.
Roman holiday celebrations in antiquity
The Lupercalia was an ancient Roman festival that was adored by many. The cleansing and fertility ceremony took place in February, in the middle. During this rite the priests offered sacrifices of animals on the altar alongside the Lapis Naiger. The hearth was stuffed with the animal’s blood. The belief was that it would be beneficial to the fertility and protection of the grain fields.
Ludi Ceriales was another celebration to honor Ceres (the harvest goddess). Since 202 BC, Ludi Ceriales celebrations were recorded.
Neptunalia and Saturnalia were some other well-known Roman festivals that were well-known in the Roman world. These celebrations were originally meant to honor Mars the god of war.
Roman workweeks were 8 days long. Each day had two sections: morning and the afternoon. Nundin was an eight-day collection, the rest of the year being made up of 29 days.
