It was seen as a celebration that celebrated romance between romantic partners and friends in the fourteenth century. It was customary to give Valentine’s Day flowers, cards and gifts to one another.
By the beginning of the 19th century commercial cards had already been made. Postcards that were printed in bulk became popular. They were popular in shops as themed displays.
Giving your loved one a chocolate or candy present and flowers or a card, is a traditional Valentine’s Day tradition. You could also think about gifting them jewelry.

It was believed that it would benefit grain crops by ensuring fertility and also protecting the crops from damage.
Ludi Ceriales was another celebration in honor of Ceres, the harvest goddess. Ludi Ceriales celebrations are documented from 202 BC.
Neptunalia and Saturnalia were among the other popular Roman festivals. The celebrations were initially planned to pay tribute to Mars as the god of war.
Roman workweeks lasted eight days. There were two periods to every day: morning and afternoon. The nundin was comprised of eight days. The rest of the year was made up by the remaining days.
